  1. This file contains 100 first names for male and female
  2. characters.  These names came from two larger files containing
  3. over 1400 names.  These are text files that can be loaded
  4. into any word processor.  I originally created these files for
  5. myself, but soon realized that anyone who writes scripts, novels,
  6. short stories and plays can use them. 
  7.  
  8. The names have been carefully selected for easy pronounciation.
  9.  
  10. You will notice the names are arranged in one long single
  11. column.  This format allows you the following flexible options:
  12.  
  13. 1. You can easily scroll up or down the list.  When I scroll, I   
  14.    place an asterisk next to potential names and scroll back      
  15.    later or use the search function of my word processor to find  
  16.    the asterisks.
  17.  
  18. 2. You have room to add on possible last names and compare.
  19.  
  20. When you find a name you like, simply copy it into your story.
  21. It's a simple concept, but some of the most useful tools are
  22. simple.  I hope these files will help you save time searching
  23. for a name and give you more time for writing.

  31. Specify 3 1/2" or 5 1/4" disk. If you are a Mac owner and your
